Hi! I’m Julia – an artist specializing in analog collage and photography. Since March 2024, I’ve been a resident of the CUTOUT COLLAGE ART PROJECT.
My work focuses on analog collage as a way to explore themes like identity, inner strength, and vulnerability. Born in Crimea, I now live and create in Potsdam, Germany. My artistic journey started with photography back in 2012, and over time, I found my voice through the medium of collage.
In 2021, I began experimenting with this art form, and it soon became my main tool to express my feelings. One of my projects, "HOME" (2022), examines the fragile concepts of safety and belonging, blending photography with collage to ask, “What does ‘home’ mean?”.
Through my art, I try to reimagine the ordinary, piecing together fragments of everyday life to create new worlds. My hope is to inspire others to explore their creativity and to be brave for self-expression.
